Objectives: This course is designed around the specific competencies that your employees would need to acquire in order to gain a qualification as a classroom trainer or an on-the-job instructor.
Accreditation: Candidates who complete either of these units will receive a Certificate of Unit Credit towards the City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ in Learning & Development. These units are:
- Enable Learning Through Demonstrations & Instruction (Train The Trainer – L10)
- Enable Learning Through Demonstrations & Instruction (On-The-Job Instructor Training - L11)
Alterantively an FLI Group Certificate of Attendance can be awarded.
Skills covered are:
TRAIN THE TRAINER
* Setting training objectives.
* Designing training to meet those objectives.
* Delivering training to groups of trainees, using suitable media.
* Monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of the learning
process.
ON-THE-JOB INSTRUCTOR TRAINING
* Setting training objectives.
* Instructing a trainee in the workplace, with minimal disruption.
* Assessing the progress of a trainee under instruction.
* Providing accurate feedback to promote confidence.
* Assessing the competence of the trainee in practice.
Delivery: Class Room Based Instruction
Assessment: Candidates are required to complete a portfolio. Competency will be assessed using this portfolio as well as an onsite visit where candidates will demonstrate skills learned.
