Project Management for all personnel engaged in Projects is a new programme designed specifically for people, in all industry sectors, without a formal background in Project Management and also for those with some prior exposure to the tools and techniques associated with Project Management.
Objectives: The primary objective of this course is to provide participants with an understanding of Project Management, basic definitions, the tools and techniques used, typical case studies and the concept of the Project Lifecycle. The Course is presented in 4 modules: Introduction, Intermediate, Advanced and Final Presentation.
Accreditation: PAA /VQ-SET Certificate in Project Management.
Modules covered are: » Module 1 – Introduction: Project Concept (2days)
» Module 2 – Intermediate: Project Planning (2 days)
» Module 3 – Advanced: Project Execution (2 days)
» Module 4 – Final Presentation: Project Presentation (1 day)
Prerequisites: Although there no formal entry requirements it is envisaged that participants would have at least two years work experience. Participants should bring to the course a project on which they are currently engaged or that they may be part of in the future.
Delivery: Class Room Based Instruction (FLI Group Learning Centre, Blackrock, Cork)
Modules 1-3: two days each, Friday and Saturday, 09.30-16.30.
Module 4: one day, Saturday, 09.30-16.30.
Four weeks between modules. Module 4, one week after Module 3.
Assessment: Modules will be assessed by a series of assignments and a final project presentation.
