This course is aimed at New and Experienced Process Operators and can be customised to your company's specific production processes.

Objectives: The aim of this programme is to provide candidates with the standard technical knowledge for Process Operators working in Bulk Processing Plants (Pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical, Chemical, Food and Medical Devices etc.)

Accreditation: Candidates will receive a City & Guilds Certificate in Process Plant & Plant Services.

Programme Content:    Construction of Pipework Systems
                                      Transfer of Fluids
                                      Valves
                                      Construction, operation and application of Heat Exchangers
                                      Water Treatment
                                      Steam Generation & Distribution
                                      General Services, air vacuum, gas & electricity
                                      Effluent Treatment
                                      Safety hazards associated with the above.

Delivery: The programme is provided as an eight-week distance learning programme using an innovative mix of home study, text books and tutor support.

Assessment: There will be two written assignments which are completed at home, a one hour Multiple-Choice Pre-Test and a one hour Multiple-Choice Exam.

Start Date: Monday 20th October       

Course fees: €515 or reduced to €206 for those eligible for FÁS Funding.

* FÁS Funding is based on the Competency Development Fund and as such requires candidates to be in full-time employment in order to qualify. If you do not qualify for this funding, please contact your local FÁS office to discuss your options.
