City & Guilds API/Chemical/Bio Process Operator Courses

These courses are aimed at New and Experienced Process Operators and are customised to your company's specific production processes.

The City & Guilds 0603 Process Plant Operation syllabus has become firmly established as the standard qualification for process operators working in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and Chemical manufacturing companies. The Process Plant Operations syllabus is offered at two levels:x

Level 2 is aimed at existing Process Operators. It is also relevant to new Process Operators. It ensures that all operators have a basic knowledge of process operations. There are no formal entry qualifications. Basic literacy and numeracy are the only requirements.

Level 3 is aimed at experienced process operators with a proven capability on process plant operation. It is also aimed at Chargehands, Foremen, Supervisors and experienced Maintenance or Utilities operators.

Accreditation: The courses are accredited by City & Guilds. Each individual course is accredited by City & Guilds on successful completion and may be studied independently of the other courses in the series.

Delivery: The workshops can take place in full-day or half-day sessions, held weekly or bi-weekly. This is agreed with the client company in advance. We can customise the courses to include plant-specific content, if required.

Assessment: There is continuous assessment through tutor-marked assignments. At the completion of each course, there is a written examination. For Level 2 courses it is a one-hour or half-hour multiple-choice examination. For Level 3 courses it is a two- or three-hour written examination.
