For Chemists & Process Support Personnel
Advance your professional and job skills. This programme is designed specifically for people without a chemical engineering background and who work in the Processing Industry, such as process support personnel and chemists. For those who do not already work in these industries it will enhance participant’s prospects of gaining employment in the Chemical & Bio Process Industries.
Objectives: The primary objective of this course is to provide participants with an understanding of Materials Processing, its basic principles, typical industrial processes, and the equipment used in Chemical & Bio Process Engineering. Participants will gain a better understanding of their company’s production processes and how they can impact them.
Accreditation: Certificate in Chemical & Bio Process Engineering for Chemists & Process Support Personnel from PAA\VQ-SET.

Prerequisites: No formal entry requirements however a knowledge of basic science and Leaving Certificate Maths is an advantage.
Delivery: Class Room Based Instruction one evening a week from 6.30pm – 9.00pm over 24 consecutive weeks.
Assessment: Modules will be assessed by four PAA\VQ-SET Multi-Choice Question Exams.
